Copyright and DMCA

Last updated June 18, 2026

Quill respects the rights of creators and copyright holders. If you believe a work on Quill infringes your copyright, you can ask us to remove it using the process below. We respond to valid notices and we remove works from repeat infringers.

Filing a takedown notice

Send a written notice to our copyright agent at dmca@quill.ink with all of the following:

Counter-notice

If your work was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to publish it, you can send a counter-notice to dmca@quill.ink. Include your contact information, the material that was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court, and your signature.

Repeat infringers

We keep track of copyright complaints, and we close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

A note on accuracy

Filing a notice or counter-notice that misrepresents the facts can carry legal consequences. Please make sure your complaint is accurate before you send it.
