Quill

Content Policy

Last updated June 18, 2026

Quill is home to many kinds of stories, from all-ages comics to adult prose. This policy sets the rules for what creators can publish and how we enforce them. It is part of the Terms of Service.

What belongs on Quill

Original stories and art that you have the rights to publish, across every format Quill supports. Rate your work honestly and tag it so readers know what to expect.

Content ratings

Works carry a rating so readers and parents can make informed choices. All ages and teen works are open to browse. Mature and adult works can carry stronger themes, and adult works require age verification before reading. Choose the rating that matches the strongest material in your work.

What is not allowed

Adult content

Adult works are allowed within the law and must be rated and gated for age. They must still follow every rule above. Age verification protects both readers and creators, and adult works are kept out of all-ages browsing surfaces.

How we enforce this

When a work breaks the rules we can remove it, restrict who can see it, or act on the account, depending on what happened and whether it has happened before. Serious or repeated violations can lead to losing the ability to publish or to an account being closed. Some violations are reported to the authorities.

Reporting and appeals

If you see something that breaks this policy, report it so we can review it. If we act on your work and you think we got it wrong, you can appeal, and a person will take another look.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Quill grows. If we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, give notice in the product.
